Provides training to the NAVAHCS MH, PRRC, MHICM Team, and Domiciliary programs on all aspects of the TSES/SE program and resources available to Veterans with SMI. Served as a liaison with community resources including Veteran’s Resource Center, Catholic Charities, Goodwill, and Salvation Army to provide information and training on the employment resources available to Veterans in the TSES/SE program and foster a working relationship with community resources to identify Veterans in need of service.

Enters all Veterans participating in TSES/TW in the Northeast Program Evaluation Center (NEPEC) data base to record participant’s initial assessment data and program entry, assignment start date, assignment end date, program completion date and a discharge summary to document Veterans status at the end of program participation including recording competitive employment.

Conducts TSES/TW program orientation including the initial agreement, HIPPA training, personal liability acknowledgement, timecard procedures and program guidelines. Assists program participants in developing an Employment Plan identifying Veteran’s employment goals, barriers to employment, individual strengths, and helps Veterans define next steps in obtaining employment including establishing goals dates for addressing and overcoming barriers.

Assists Veteran’s requiring basic computer skills by introducing Veterans to community resources including Goodwill Career Center, Salvation Army, and Yavapai Community College for assistance at no cost to the Veteran. Provides ongoing support throughout the Veteran’s TSES//TW assignment to assist Veterans with developing resumes, completing applications and submitting online job applications. Offers Veterans mock- interviewing sessions to enhance Veterans interviewing skills.

Developed and delivered employment centered training at Town Hall training meetings. Determined training content to be delivered to TSES/TW participating Veterans including Anger Management, Resume Building, Interviewing Skills, and workforce reentry for Veterans with felony backgrounds. Solicited and scheduled guest speakers to deliver 11 training topics in 2014 and 2015.
