My responsibilities were different each day, as I had experience in each area of front office, so I was put where they needed me the most. The following is all the things I did while employed with them. I work check-in/check-out for 4 doctors and collecting co-payments, balancing daily, prepping charts for the next day, running schedules for the doctors each day. I also worked in the billing department reviewing claims for coding errors before doing the charge entry and submitting the claims, payment posting, secondary billing as well as patient billing after primary payer has paid if the secondary did not cross over. Lastly I reviewed claims that were denied or rejected and corrected the claims, searched to find the information needed to send in order for accurate reimbursement. Education
