With a strong focus on pediatric pathology, performed the macroscopic description and dissection and sampling of all surgical specimens ranging from simple to complex cases including pertinent macroscopic information for the examination by a pathologist.

Perform, or assist with postmortem examination including external examination, in-situ organ inspection, evisceration as well as the recording of data including organ weights, measurements, presence and quantification of body fluids, macroscopic anatomic findings and tissue sampling. Additional duties included specimen macrophotography, specimen radiography, use of the bone saw, use of the cryostat for the preparation of tissue for frozen section evaluation, Tissue sampling for a multitude of ancillary studies including, tumor triage, lymphoma protocol, flow cytometry, Immunofluorescence, microbial cultivation, cytogenetics, electron microscopy, research and tissue banking for tumor registries. Educating and training pathology residents, new employees, students and

technical staff.
