ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

●Accessible to testing personnel when testing is performed by providing on-site, telephone, or electronic consultation to resolve technical problems in accordance with policies and procedures established either by the laboratory director or technical supervisor.

●Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, and maintaining records of patient test results.

●Assure that all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications.

●Follow and enforce procedures that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient samples.

●Follow and enforce laboratory quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations/maintenance is performed.

●Annually evaluate and document the performance of all testing personnel.

●Create employee schedules.

●Follow all safety procedures and take appropriate actions when needed.

●Checking inventory and ordering supplies

●Other duties as assigned.

●Work adhering to US regulatory and Quality System requirements (21 CFR 820, etc).

●This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned.
