Benefits & EAP: Assisted employees with benefit enrollment, including answering all queries about Amazon’s medical, dental, vision and W4 offerings. I have comprehensive knowledge of our insurance providers that I share with employees to help them make informed decisions about their plan, such as their offers, services available, coverage and payroll deductions for each provider (COBRA, Kaiser, Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross, etc.). I educate employees on their 401(k) plan with Fidelity and help them with adding and removing beneficiaries to their plan. In addition, Amazon offers an internal benefit policy (Brightside Financial Care) and EAP (Employee Assistance Program), and I provide enrollment information for these services. I strictly adhere to our organization’s privacy and confidentially policy regarding sensitive data collected from our employees.
Employee relations: Acted as the primary contact for all types of employee inquiries. I lead diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) employee engagement projects, organize employee appreciation events, workshops and trainings that foster employee engagement and celebrate our diverse culture.
Time off: I am responsible for informing and submitting employee requests for LOA, EEOC, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, PFL and OSHA eligibility. I process all employee accommodations and ensure workforce compliance (including return to office mandates).
Payroll: Assisted employees (hourly & salary) with their direct deposit, live check information, issuing ADP and Wisely cards, wage garnishments/lien, tax deductions/withholdings, missing pay, pay bonuses, pay rate issues, etc.
Worker’s Compensation: I assisted employees who are injured or ill, both onsite and offsite. I completed medical investigation reports in conjunction with the onsite medical staff and ensure the safety and confidentiality of the employee. I present incident reports to AMCARE or SEDGWICK as per the policy for further case processing, including additional medical support, compensation claims and deductions.
Talent Acquisition: Workforce planning, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selecting and onboarding new talent, ensuring a smooth transition into the company culture
Re-instatement, appeals & retention: Developed and executed new hire and internal transfer plans for talent acquisition teams, including preparation for new hire onboarding (badging, training, workforce planning). Assisted employees with internal transfers and conversions
Investigations: I have experience handling the end-to-end process for ethical issues and code of conduct violations. I lead employee investigation cases regarding ethical violations of Amazon’s code of conduct by collaborating with cross-functional department leads (ex. loss and prevention, managers) and documenting case reports for the Sr. HRBP review and final decision. After the determination is issued, I update their report outlining next steps based on if the decision was a warning, write-off or termination.
Metrics & reporting: Collaborated with leaders across multiple levels to develop and implement strategies aimed at enhancing the employee experience by leveraging data and metrics to identify trends and anticipate both employee and business needs
Amazon Sr. Employee Resource Center Associate (Remote) Mar 2022 – Jan 2023
Supported new hires, current employees and alumni across the United States remotely through phone, chat, email and internal channels to help them find the right answers to their HR questions
Identified inefficiencies in our internal policy tool and created a searchable master document that included comprehensive HR policies in our tool and collated complex case resolutions from across my team to that were missing, resulting in a streamlined database that improved efficiency (note: I was recognized by senior leadership for this project and they recommended adding my master document as an official knowledge base tool to support other HR employees across the United States)
