EXPERIENCE

Research Assistant SUNY Cortland 5/16/23 – 7/11/23

After finishing my freshman semesters making the Dean’s List at SUNY Cortland, I spent the following summer doing research with the first professor I met, Dr. Eierman. During our eight weeks of research, we analyzed the effects of plastic pollution on the stress of Atlantic Oysters while learning about PCRs, Gel Electrophoresis, and overall lab experience in the field of biology. In September of 2023, I presented our findings at Ithaca College at the NY LSAMP Symosium.

Mixed Martial Arts Instructor 2022 - Present

Held seminars at various academies in New York teaching both groups of adults (16+) and children (5-15) techniques branching from multiple martial arts including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai aiming to spread self-confidence and self-defense.

Resident Assistant SUNY Cortland 5/16/23 – 7/11/23

Accepted as a resident assistant for the Fall 2024 Semester under RHD Natalie Yoder. Was one of nineteen chosen out of a pool of 127 applicants. Worked in co-ed freshman dorms and help residents adjust to campus lifestyle while also directing them towards places of interests on campus.
