I could cover several job areas at Borgers, including but not limited to, operator on any cell that was running and fill any position on the cell. We had 15 different machines with approximately 4 positions on each. I was trained to run an automatic welder and maintain a fast pace to ensure top production. I was also a hand welder and my finished product had no burn thrus or was defective in any way. I ran the A2LL Automatic Welder on my shift before being promoted to an Inventory Spider. As a spider I verified the correctness of the finished part to our customers specifications. That there were no defects or quality issues and to alert the Quality Dept. if I observed any. I verified the correct count of the products, and verified the part being packed was the correct part as noted on the production order posted. I also verified the packer was using correct packing procedures and appropriate containers as specified by our customers order. Then I scanned the crate of product into the inventory and confirmed it while noting how many more parts were needed to complete the order. When we were a specified amount away from the completed PO I notified the supervisor and the tool techs, so they could change the machine over in a timely manner.
