Research Projects

Analysis of fluid flow through a Convergent Divergent nozzle December 2016

Performed Computational Fluid dynamic analysis to calculate the pressure differences at nozzle outlet using ANSYS 16.0.

The test Virtualized at different Mach numbers to derive different flow conditions.

Studying laminar and turbulent flows in a convergent and divergent nozzle using ANSYS Fluent.

Modelling and Simulation of Fuel Tank filling November 2016

Computational fluid Dynamics Simulation was performed to study the sloshing effects in the Automotive fuel tanks.

The effects of Mach number and Nozzle pressure ratios (NPR) on Mass flow rate, Maximum pressure and Maximum velocity and on Maximum force are studied using Fluent Analysis.

Premature shut off due to splash back of fuel on fuel dispenser are studied.

Load calculation on an Air conditioning system in an Olympic size Natatorium (HVAC) April 2016

Various factors effecting the design of a Natatorium are studied and rate of evaporation of water was estimated to determine the load on air conditioning system.

Rate of Evaporations are calculated considering variables such as pool temperature, pool water surface area, air temperature, room air relative humidity, activity factor and water agitation.

ASHRAE’s 2011 HVAC Applications Handbook is used as a reference in load calculation.
