SUMMARY
MSc in Geological Sciences and European Professional Certified with +17 years in Geology jobs and +14 years of overall experience in Oil & Gas Exploration, as a Wellsite Geologist, Surface Logging Data Engineer and Mud Logging Geologist. Achieved knowledge on Geological Wellsite operations and reporting; Formation Recognition, Formation Evaluation, Reservoir Characterization, Formation Pressure anomalies interpretation. Managed LWD Operations, Supervising, Witnessing and QC-ing the same. Formation Evaluation savvy, gained pay zones evaluation experience, Reservoir characterization and Pore Pressures evaluation. Knowledgeable of Rig equipment and functioning, drilling operations, drilling parameters acquisition through WITS, well programs, Daily Geological Reports, End of Well Reports, Litho and Composite Logs, well control, detection and analysis of gas-while-drilling. Able to provide analysis, evaluation and description of formations during drilling operations using cuttings, gas, FEMWD and wireline data.
I always had an international exposure, not just in Oil&Gas in Europe, Africa and North Africa, but also in the US, where I worked after graduating in many Geology sectors such as Gemology and Environmental.
Team player with tendency to leadership, aware of his role but able to point out the right Geological prospective as per Geological Program at the professional meetings. Recently got involved in Volunteering as a Lifeguard for the Regional Coast Guard. Played key role in the interpretation of Formation Pressures anomalies during drilling, saving the Oil operators time and money on drilling issues. Supervised LWD operations, Formation Evaluation procedures, and Formation Pressure Test accordingly to industry standards.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES
Oct 2013 - Feb 2016 HRH Ltd North Sea District, Aberdeen, UK
Wellsite Geologist - Formation Recognition, Reservoir Characterization, Porosity, Fluid Type, Formation Pressure, Wireline Witnessing and QC. Geological Wellsite operations and reporting; Wellsite Supervision and QC; LWD / WireLine Witnessing; Formation Evaluation, pay zones evaluation and Reservoir characterization, Pore Pressures evaluation; Rig equipment and functioning, drilling operations, drilling parameters acquisition through WITS, well programs, Daily Geological Reports, End of Well Reports, Litho and Composite Logs, well control, detection and analysis of gas-while-drilling. Responsible for supervising and provide quality control of Mudlogging, FEMWD and wireline services and data. To carry out any adhoc geological duties as directed by the Client and to ensure this is communicated to Well Operations General Manager. To carry out pre-spud evaluation of offset data. To communicate pre-spud and post well data to Client personnel. To ensure all required documentation is carried out: daily, weekly, post well reporting and completion of logs. Also used Spectra Light where duties also include: Worked collaboratively in the activities necessary to achieve the optimal reservoir operating conditions in terms of technical and economic terms. Planning activities of the fields of development, including new wells, workovers and sidetracks. Generate geological models of the fields in operation. Technical monitoring of the activities implemented in the non-operated fields.

Mud Logger Geologist / Data Engineer - Mud Logging Data Engineering is a geological service that provides the Oil Company with a continuous acquisition system that allows us to get real time drilling parameters (such as Total drilled Depth - Bit depth -Rate of penetration - Weight on Bit - Torque - Stand Pipe Pressure - Well head Pressure - Mud Pits Volumes) Hydrocarbon Gas While-Drilling plus H2S and explosive mix gases' monitoring. In order to do that we have our Sensors installed on sensible spots on the Rig, then calibrated and connected to our Acquisition System, so that we can record two Data Bases (Time and Depth). Hydraulic Calculations come out of the characteristic of the well different sections and casing, in order to allow Well Control (Kick Sheets). Also a study of the compaction trend, overburden and Overpressure (D-exponent & Sigma Log) of the sediments drilled, calculated entering the recorded parameters into a program is also required. All these informations end up in the Final Well Report. - The Mud Logger Geologist analyzes the drill cuttings (rocks coming out the drilled well) with tests and equipment (such as Microscope, Calcimetry, Sulphide test, Fluorescence, QFT). Preparation of Samples for microscope a lithological formation description; Carbonatic rock descriptions require usually a Thin Section, for observation of foraminifera (micro-fossilized plankton) and microstructures typical of the reservoir. Core cutting/packing, core chops description, on a separate report, are sometimes required. Daily Surface Logging Reports with daily operations on the well, descriptions of the drilled rock formations and their intervals, gas shows, type of gas its depth and analysis. The Master Log is a schematic log reporting curves with well depths, time drilled, drilling parameters, formations crossed, gas shows, background and drilling breaks.
