Project: Essent Utility Gas and Electric (UK)

Role: Functional Tester

Testing Responsibilities:

a)Creating Test scenarios for functional testing of SAP ISU and Front End / back end tools related to business.

b)Involved in Test Execution and Verification.

c)Giving suggestions/ideas during handover sessions. Highlighting concerns in the meeting with the business.

d)Involved in pokering and planning session inorder to analyse the complexity of the business requirement and providing the suggestion on delivering the product.

e)Involved in System Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Acceptance testing.

f)Raised issues whenever identified and followed up with the developers to fix it soon. Communicated issues with the functional, development and management team accordingly.

g)Tested all possibilities of scenarios to see various impacts on the system and give quality results.

EXPERIENCE ON PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION

1.RTOneIT success :

Essent is an Utility company which provides Gas and Electricity in the Netherlands with different service provider.

RTOneIT is one of the projects which was implemented newly where-in Essent has introduced a new service provider called “Energy Direct”

Since it was a new implementation the testing part had a big challenge, and there were lot of techniques to be followed up inorder to get the output.

Testing scope was huge and the test cases were written for all Unit, System Integration, Regression testing for all the business process and billing related cases on ISU.

End to End process was verified thoroughly and also had the GO for Acceptance environment and Issues were solved on A and had a GO to production too.

2.ISU Upgrade :

Among people who were chosen for the project “ISU Upgrade”, have been chosen as SIT tester on U environment.

The dump is taken from Panaya tool with all the T-codes being used by Essent Project and the cases were written for all the Tcodes.

Helped Developers in identifying the Data for Unit test also worked with Dev team providing suggestion on the business requirements.

Verified the Unit test done by Dev team and worked on System Integration test and made progress executing all the T-codes used by Essent and identified the discrepancy in the pre and post of Upgrade.

Raised issues in Jira and worked with Dev team in getting it resolved and doing retest and closing the issue.

Made a go after done with all the SIT of all the T-codes being used by Essent.
