PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Project Engineer (Temp)
Honeywell, Torrance, CA November 2015 – December 2015
Performed root cause and corrective action on non-conformances.
Wrote rework Instructions for product order change.
Scrapped unrepairable parts from the SAP system.
Participated in tier meetings.
Knowledgeable of product’s specs, manufacturing processes, and the Honeywell operating system.
Avionics Manufacturing Engineer
Harco Labs & Semco Instruments of Transdigm Corp, Valencia, CA February 2015 – October 2015
Analyzed process data, models and flows to identify root cause of problems. Conducted research, compiled and analyzed performance reports and process control statistics to continuously improve process capability.
Manufactured pressing and fixture tools, manufacturing layout boards, and molds to ease the manufacturing process.
Produced manufacturing instructions for making harness, thermocouples, and speed sensors.
Designed and manufactured harnesses and thermocouple harness. Created blue prints and test instructions for the designs based upon customer requirements.
Performed root cause analysis working with and directing cross-functional teams to conduct and develop dispositions for design non-conformance, corrective/preventative actions through auditing and review. Participated in MRB meetings. Created and approved product inspection plans. Modified manufacturing routers to reduce customer returns and scrap. Performed scrap analysis to find scrap root cause and to improve manufacturing.
Worked in a dynamic environment to continuously improve systems and processes with regards to Lean Manufacturing activities.
Developed test plans and configurations, supported test execution. Analyzed results to validate systems components met requirements; supported investigations of failures and improvements.
Experience with product and process improvements. Met and exceeded customer standards. Worked on factory floor as needed to support quality and manufacturing.
Sound knowledge of Lean Manufacturing including: Productivity and Continuous Improvement, BOMs, Engineering Blueprints, Production Flow, Lead/Response Times, 8 Types of Waste and MRP (Manufacturing Resource/Materials Requirements Planning).
Academic EXPERIENCE
SAE UAV Design Engineer
SAE Aerospace Cal State Northridge, Northridge, CA June 2014 – June 2015
Designed Wings by performing Aerodynamic calculation to find dimensions and material while considering plane weight, weight budget, engine specifications.
Designed Ailerons by performing Aerodynamic calculation and material analysis to meet the desired roll rate
Design of control system for the ailerons and the servo sizing
Composite material analysis using hand and MATLABS calculations
Manufactured the wing and ailerons design with hands on composite material and mold manufacturing
Wrote then performed testing procedures to test engine’s thrust, fuselage’s bending and tensile stress, tails’ and wings’ deflection, nose and landing gear’s bending and compression stress.
Placed 1st in the design competition out of 72 universities in the west coast
