Customer Service Representative entry level CVS Caremark Call Center

Took customers calls and answered questions about their prescription insurance information whether it was good or bad news we always had to deliver the information as sensitive and caring as possible as to not upset an already ill member. If the member didn’t have any refills available I would even reach out to the doctor for them and request the new refill so the member does not have to do more work than they should.

Other responsibilities included calling pharmacies for the members and updating their insurance information if they weren’t able to pick up their medication.

Sometimes members insurance would expire and they would have to find out who the new company that represented their place of business, I would always go the extra mile and call the other companies I had numbers for and inquire if they had insurance with the new company, especially if it were an elderly person they would always be a little confused and not understand. My goal was to make sure everyone I have spoken to would end their call and be fully aware of what they needed to do to get there medication, why their plan wouldn’t allow a refill.
