Responsible for assessing and rebuilding HR department after 18 years under

the same leadership. Brought on board in October with a specific focus on

retooling the hiring system and developing a wage and salary administration

program. Developed a policy advisory group to address aging corporate

communications. Built a management performance appraisal system to replace

a COLA-based system. Lead Executive retreat and ongoing executive staff

meetings to reboot organizational culture and rebuild internal image in

preparation for a major casino expansion.

University of Washington, Office of Risk Management

Project appointment to work with Title IX Coordinator and develop

University wide awareness and training program regarding changes to

Washington State Child Abuse Law. Completed a vetted video program

supported by outreach and other collateral. Exploring other distribution

channels across the University system when recruited for the Lucky Eagle

position.

. Brought on board in March to build client training programs.

Reorganization after 4 months re-focused my work toward supervision

and management training, onboarding processes and compliance training.

. Developed and lead quarterly Leadership Council Retreats around

strategic planning, budgeting and engagement programs.

. Built a train-the-trainer program to bring subject matter experts from

around the organization to execute a training system and deliver

uniform content company wide for the first time.

. Hired to build internal staff and management skills within a large

Native gaming corporation in Washington. Within 2.5 years team built

an organizationally vital three-tier training and development

department.

. In response to company-wide needs, new T&OD Department assessed,

designed and delivered training for 400 supervisory/management

personnel monthly, compliance/awareness training for all 2000

employees quarterly and drove an individualized executive career

development program for 40-50 leaders in training on an ongoing basis.

. To meet departmental business changes, developed and delivered just in

time hard and soft skills training specifically for restaurant

openings, forklift operators, valet services and Human Resources

programs.

. Addressed a lack of communication and trust by building the needed

relationships between operating areas and the mid-management and

executive levels making it possible to successfully market service and

mission messages to all employees.

. Through company-wide training drove an about face in corporate

culture, resulting in 63% reduction in mid-level disciplinary issues,

dramatically improved morale and employee satisfaction which improved

guest service at the front line providing stabilized revenues in a

down economy.

. Rehired by this Native gaming corporation to assist with the opening

of their second facility. Developed effective staffing and on-

boarding plans to bring new property up to speed quickly - which soon

. To manage two operations efficiently and reduce costs, built and

implemented strategies to share resources between locations including

staffing and Marketing.

. When second property was stable, and upon departure of HR leadership,

transitioned to HR Director for both properties to develop consistent

personnel policy, procedure and administration for both locations

leading to unified personnel management.

. Continued to deliver Supervision and Management development courses

accredited through local college to build depth in mid-management

skills and maintain quality in-house leadership.

. Returned to this aerial mapping and commercial photographer as their

Manager.

. In response to increased competition and technology shifts, lead

marketing, client development and customer service which sustained a

regional reputation as the go to provider for the industry.

. Responsible for managing the multiple steps of production and output

of the plant from processing raw imagery to final output of large

mapping areas in both data and print.

. Effectively re-established casino operations from 750 to 300 employees

and built effective HR policies for Tribal government, casino

operations and regulatory body.

. In response to outdated policies and procedures and absence of

effective HR leadership, developed and trained to revise HR policy

including new Employee Handbook.

. As the business grew from Transitioned to Marketing Director after

bringing on new HR Director.

. Developed the successful rebranding of the property in very

competitive market which lead to an increase in 47% of player tracking

by using highly specific targeted direct mail offers for rural

demographic.

. Drove multi-million dollar annual marketing budget including

accountability for all facets of marketing including media buys,

collateral, advertising and events/promotions resulting in 23%

increase in market share.

. Directed the Charitable Committee, which donated over $500,000 per

year to local charities resulting in increased positive community

presence for both the casino and the Tribe.

. Co-founded and built a nationally recognized management consulting

firm within the gaming industry in 2 years.

. Conducted organizational assessments with upper level management to

determine and deliver specific, appropriate and cost-effective

assessments, action planning and targeted training services to a wide

. Returned to this gaming corporation as a Corporate Project Manager and

then transitioned to Dir. Of Organizational Development to ensure

consistencies in a rapidly growing staff (from 750 to 3000 in six

months).

. In order to ensure consistent and accurate tracking of corporate

revenues on a single P&L, developed and implemented the coordinated

collection of gaming data between 4 properties in 3 states within a

common data structure.

. In order to support 3 new properties and ensure the consistent

administration of HR policies between 4 properties and 3000 employees

provided collaborative authoring of material and subsequent training

events.

. Implemented employee satisfaction surveys at all levels and properties

to assess the need for such corporate action plans as training,

policy revision and the development of a single employee handbook.

. To address company wide staffing needs developed a corporate

university system which resulted in the ability to grow talent from

within the organization and maintain the desired company culture.
