Developed a theory that involved the unification of various cross disciplinary creative thinking
approaches to aid the management of innovation. Main research areas included:
● Leadership styles and their influence on innovation
● Complex adaptive systems and emergent patterns in human behaviour
● Problem solving methodologies from:
Engineering design (TRIZ, InnoWOIS)
Management & Psychology (Lateral Thinking, Structural Tension, motivational
factors)
● Extensive experience of academic writing and presenting

April 2008 – May 2010, Fennaco Ltd, Bath, B&NES, United Kingdom
Collaborated with the inventor of a novel braking system, developing the design from concept
idea to a patented working prototype, which included:
● Extensive 3D technical drawing
● Liaising with investors and patent lawyers and explaining the design concept
● Supervision of final year undergraduate projects on behalf of Fennaco
Relevant Experience at Undergraduate Level
● Final project investigating the dynamics of towed vehicles. This four month experimental
study into caravan snaking was the most advanced of its type at the time.
● Undertook a four month group design project to automate the manufacture of roller blinds.
My role involved designing and drawing with 3D CAD the module that attached the fabric to
bars at each end.
Other undergraduate courses include:
Control Systems Innovation & Advanced Design Organizational Behavior Power
Transmissions Mechanical Vibrations & Noise Thermodynamics Fluid Mechanics Modelling
Techniques, Biomechanics, Biomimetics and more.
