Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to apply for the position at your company. I am currently enrolled in

Mechanical Engineering at the University of Waterloo looking for meaningful summer exposure.

I believe I am a suitable candidate to this post.

I have had past experience volunteering as a camp councillor for a private summer

camp organization. I volunteered as a camp councillor for Agape's summer camp program for two

consecutive years. From there I have gained valuable work experience especially the skills and

techniques on dealing with young children and improved my leadership and communication skills.

Other relevant experiences include me volunteering as a basketball instructor for a disabled child,

where I had to learn how to overcome a communication barrier, which I did so through gaining his

and his mom’s trust. I also volunteered at YMCA to set up and run booths for various events and

also had experience working for the Town of Markham volunteered to prepare children's festivals

as well as the Lion's 5K Walk. I have also volunteered to coach a junior boy softball team and

worked as a softball umpire, officiating junior softball games. I have also developed strong

teamwork, communication, and leadership skills. Last but not the least ; being a softball pitcher, I

have learnt to work well under pressure and be a strong leader.

I am very punctual and pride myself on always being on time. I am also hardworking,

enthusiastic, fast learner and always maintain a positive attitude when dealing with others.

I consider I am a well suited candidate for this position. My responsibility and dedication

will help me in being a responsible and competent worker. I will much appreciate having a
