Project Highlights

Central Artery/Tunnel Project (CA/T) aka. The Big Dig (1986 to 1989) Budget: $22 Billion

The Big Dig was the most expensive highway project in the U.S. The project came in at $22 Billion upon completion. It is constructed

from twelve "binocular" shaped steel sections. These sections were then brought to the Black Falcon Pier near the site and each

was fitted with a large surrounding mass of concrete. We were contracted to construct the gang forms for retaining walls and caps

for the Ted Williams Tunnel under the Boston Harbor.

Maricopa County 4th Avenue Jail (2002 to 2003) Budget: $91M

Helped manage construction of the project that contains 1,360 cells, and a central intake facility capable of handling 600 bookings

every 12 hours. The job consisted of 600,000 square feet in eight levels of structural cast-in-place (CIP) elevated decks, structural

CIP interior shear walls, CIP exterior shear walls, six CIP stair shafts, and four CIP elevator shafts. As these decks were cast, it was

critical that McCarthy strip forms and remove re-shores as soon as possible.
