I worked at the College of Lake County bookstore for the month of August.
My duty was to help students find there texts books for class and answer
any questions a student my have. I stocked inventory and counted inventory.
College of Lake County-Peer Mentor
My duties as a peer mentor was to assist incoming freshmen getting adjusted
to the college life. Helping with homework, talking to students on life
making decisions, helping locate classrooms and other facilitates at the
college. Also I would help with office work in the Student Development
office ; tasks include filing paperwork, making phone calls and mailing.
College Of Lake County-Student Ambassador
4/2009-7/2010
As a student ambassador, I would promote the College Of Lake County. I
would take incoming freshmen on tours of the campus and promote the
college. I would assist the students with setting up there account for the
college and register for classes. I have worked with all of the
highschools in Lake County and many students with different backgrounds.
During non-tour times I would with working the the Student Life office were
I would make calls to students, send out letters to students, working with
the computer and making databases. During off time, I would work events
hosted by our department, such as game night.
