I am a dedicated medical professional with more than twelve years of

experience in the field of pathology as a certified pathologist assistant,

EXPERIENCE:

More than twelve years of experience in the field of surgical

pathology lab in the hospital setting and more than ten years in the

cardiology lab with private and in the hospital environment. I have worked

as a senior pathologist assistant in a large scale pathology lab where we

handle approximately 32-35 thousand surgical specimens per year. I

arranged, dictate and collect surgical data for autopsy and also for

surgical specimen; including radiological information and operating reports

for review by the pathologist(s). I assisted the pathologists in autopsy

with prosection, including external examination as well as situ inspection,

evisceration, dissection, and the recording of data with the dictation of

descriptive information and any such material relating to gross autopsy

findings. I also assisted under the supervision of the pathologist in the

selection and also assisted in preparation of tissue block including

sections for the microscopic examination as well as frozen, permanent

sections for light, electron and fluorescent microscopy. I participated in

the educational obligations of the laboratory with the respect of medical

students, medical techs in clinical specialties and in anatomical

pathology. I also performed tumor banking duties for tissue procurement

which are to be used in the tissue resource center at the Hackensack

Medical Center. As a senior for the last twelve years, I supervised and

also guided the junior pathologist assistants and the gross lab clerical

staff. This course of experience has really strengthened my ability of

organizational skills and communication.
