Project Description:

CA Spectrum is a services and infrastructure management system that

monitors the state of managed elements including devices, applications, host systems, and

connections. Status information such as fault and performance data from these elements is

collected and stored. CA Spectrum constantly analyzes this information to track conditions

within the computing infrastructure. If an abnormal condition is detected, it is isolated and

you are alerted. CA Spectrum also presents you with possible causes and solutions to the

problem.

Responsibilities:

• Work with development team to understand assigned modules/new product features

for the purpose of writing test cases.

• Set-up testing environments such as RHEL5.8/5.9/6.3, Solaris 9/10/11, and Windows

2003/2008/2012

• Executing test cases for complete product level sanity and maintaining associated test

records.

• Recording issues in the defect Tracking Tool (STAR).

• Follow-up and closing issues entered into the defect-tracking system.

• Escalate issues to higher level where issue resolution is not achieved within a

reasonable amount of time.

• Performing QA Engineering tasks for Spectrum components: Discoveryand

Modeling, Events & Alarms, Configuration Management, Certification, core,

Applications.

• Involved in doing Regression, smoke testing for the cumulative delivered.
