Carter County Health Department - Administrative Technician III

•Interview clients, arrange appointments and enter client data into computer database. Review data and make corrections as needed. Handle confidential client information. Assure client services are appropriate and satisfactory. Provides client with detailed instructions on using Women, Infant and Children (WIC) nutrition food instruments and technicial assistance with on line nutrition education classes

•Manage client records. Arrange documents in client record per required filing plan. Assure forms are added to client record as they present for services. To facilitate access to care for children and families, will copy, mail or fax records per release of information policy. Use records disposition schedule and policy to close records.

•Assure access to clinic services. Receive clients in a professional courteous manner. Follow all agency program policies and procedures exactly as written. PHOCIS reports, customer satisfaction and supervisor observation.

•Assess fees for service per agency and program requirements. Enter billing charge data (BCD) for all clients accurately. Receipt collections and deposit money daily with billing supervisor and or county treasurer according to agency policy and procedures. Expected to report exceptions to supervisor or higher level authority. Measurable by PAR reports, deposit book review, records consultant clinic review and internal audits.

•Mandatory Trainings Complete required trainings as per Administrative Procedure.

•Quarterly safety trainings 4 x year

•Cultural Diversity - 3 hours year

•Ethics - 3 hours year

•HIPAA training yearly

•Complete all program required trainings

•Increase access to medical care by assessing all clients presenting for services for Medicaid eligibility. Assist with enrollment process and problem-solve issues when medicaid analyst is unavailable. Measurable by completed applications, reports and periodic supervisor observation.

•Run weekly and monthly reports.

•Expected to establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients, other professionls, co-workers and the community to achieve common goals effectively. Cooperate and provide assistance and when needed. Request consultation and cooperation from others as needed.
