Objective: To develop and be involved in Estimating for company’s profitability.

Professional Skills

Timely preparation of conceptual estimates, bids and pricing analysis, as required, on proposed projects

Work through cost solutions and studies with clients and project ream members

Assist Project Managers and other team members in the timely preparation of the GMP and lump sum pricing.

Recognizes, understands and applies estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles for compiling all types of estimates. Understands construction means, methods, and sequences-singe discipline

Conducts work requiring independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard estimating techniques, procedures, and criteria

Prepares scope and bid package breakdowns for subcontract and vendor quotes

Work directly with contractor to resolve technical matters during negotiation and contract execution

Ability to read & analyze drawings, attend field work inspection with minimal supervision. Good analytical skill, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Prepare estimates and complete takeoff based on scope of work.

Knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Project, including PlanSwift software for Takeoff estimating, Adobe Acrobat, as well as e-mail and Internet searches.

Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of the estimate. Coordinate total estimating effort relevant to a project and maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures.

Corresponds with clients, architects and engineers for clear understanding of project. Handles RFI’s and Follow-Up Works – includes change order & credit.

Qualifications: Education/Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with +10 years in Estimating, Cost Control and Evaluation

Active, Social, and Self-motivated personality with effective communication skills
