Wrote a grant for the free diabetic testing program at la pulga. The grant would provide the program with $100,000 to develop a diabetic cooking demonstration program.

University of Texas at Austin- Sugar brain study
Recruited and conducted focus groups. Screened and enrolled participants. The study used MRI imaging to assess how sugar sweetened beverage intake impacts acute neural reward pathways, satiety/hunger cues, and metabolic responses in age 7-9 overweight Hispanic children.
Received training for MRI Level 1 certification, REDCap and NDSR/24-hour dietary recall.
