INDIAN INSTITUTES OF SCIENCE (IISc) Period (May’17-July’17) Project Title – Application of Non-Thermal Plasma on LPG for domestic uses. The project was based on cold plasma application using Dielectric Barrier Discharge(DBD) on LPG gas. The idea was to decompose LPG into Hydrogen gas that has more calorific value, so can be used for increasing the flame temperature of the flame. The project included designing the DBD reactor, reporting any change in flame temperature with the application of plasma, also performing water boiling test for measuring the efficiency. Also worked on the effect of application of cold plasma using DBD reactor on CNG. The procedure repeated for CNG also. At the same time, worked on another project for the preliminary studies on “Effect of plasma treated water on seed germination”.

Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC), Hyderabad Period (May’16-June’16) Project title – Characterization of Zr-2.5-Nb alloy pressure tubes used in Nuclear reactors. Worked on characterizing the alloy samples using Optical Microscope, Scanning electron microscope, X-Ray Diffraction.

INDUSTRIAL TRAINING

Vizag Steel Plant, Visakapatnam. Period (Dec’15) Synopsis : Visited every department in the steel plant and practically experienced watching different processes involved in steel making. Our work also included analysing the steel samples developed i n steel melt shop. A thorough understanding on all metallurgical operations carried in steel making . ACTIVITIES

Event Manager for Accent, a B-Plan competition held in Consortium, Annual Entrepreneurship conference of VNIT.

Member of Cricket team. Represented VNIT in various tournaments.

Event organizer for Wall Street, virtual stock market event held in AXIS, Technical Fest of VNIT.

Member of Prayaas club. Organised many social events in and out of college.
