1.Basic duties:

Prepare a series of technical reports and data for the Comau customer, General Motors

Ensure compliance to customer production tool and equipment schedule

Propose dimensional improvements to the customer engineers

Verify load and unload clearances that would affect part dimensionally or impact surface quality of parts/sub-assemblies by loading/unloading parts/sub-assemblies to fixtures and weld tools

Verify certification equipment following the inspection process

Certify all production tooling at the customer facility using measurement tools defined by VDQM

Evaluate die struck body parts relative to each other and to locating datum in body assembly tools

Correct any quality issue root causes resulting from the assemblies and parts for which Comau is responsible

Participate in weekly dimensional reviews

Participate in the dimensional and surface buy-off review process

Participate in the completion of the exit criteria checklist

Identify and document incoming part quality issues that obstruct the achievement of A-Metric and sub-assembly targets.
