February 2012 – December 2016

Senior Drilling Engineer – Saudi Aramco (SAUDI ARABIA) Achievement: Successfully designed and executed a Tri-Lateral Drilling Program for Manara Project. This unique project was the First Time Application in the World and aimed to place the most advanced technique of Intelligent Completion in each lateral in order to monitor each segment of the reservoir behaviour and performance along each lateral during the life time of the Well Production.

The main tasks and responsibilities included the followings:

Verified and gathered the required data for designing the drilling programs; i.e.: geological information, reservoir/ production data, and drilling history of the off-set wells.

Coordinated with service contractors to initiate and finalize the directional and anti-collision plans.

Designed drilling program for multi-lateral wells (5-12 laterals) and generated the AFE sheet.

Initiated tenders for drilling bits, wellheads and tubulars.

Evaluated “Trial Test” results of the equipment utilized for the first time and reported all findings and recommendations to Drilling Technical Department for approval/ rejection.

Prepared the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and conducted a meeting at the rig site with all departments/ personnel involved in the job.

Conducted pre-spud meetings as well as planning meeting prior the drilling of each section of the well.

Witnessed and supervised running and cementing casing/ liner jobs; in addition to the installation of Smart Completion.

Performed “End-of-Well” review of each completed well and reported the findings to the head of the department.

November 2011 – January 2012

Performance Optimization Engineer – BG Group (KAZAKHSTAN) Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (Partners: BG-Group; AGIP-ENI; Chevron-Texaco & Lukoil)

Direct reporting to the Engineering Manager and support Well Operations Manager.

Liaison with Field Production Department, Reservoir Geology, Well Delivery Teams and Service Providers for Well Planning.

Conducted DWOP process ‘Drill Well on Paper’ for each new well.

Provided operations support to ( 3 ) drilling rigs while drilling through carbonate reservoirs in presence of H2S and CO2 environments with depths of + 23000 ft.

Led engineering support to rig operations following start up and provide engineering input to daily workover operations.

Daily operation support to both rigs (Parker Rig: 107 and 2).

Co-ordinated the activities of Service Company Support and ensure that long lead materials and equipment are procured in time.

Maintained good open communication with contractors and partners promoting a culture of involvement and participation.

Reviewed of Service Company performance versus contract. Involved in QPR (Quality Performance Review) meetings and auditing of service providers. October 2003 – October 2005

Senior Operations Engineer – Qatar Petroleum, QP (QATAR)

Designed programs for Intervention/ Re-entry wells. Daily follow-up drilling progress.

Co-ordinated with the Company Drilling Fluid Laboratory to verified casing/ liner cement recipes. Site supervision of running and cementing 9-5 8” production casing and 4-1 2” liner off- bottom jobs. Occasionally supervised drilling operations on the rig.

Gathered and finalized End of Well Drilling Document. Prepared a summary of drilling cost report and submitted to Cost Control Division.
