• Operated, navigated, maintained fishing vessels of 19’ to 90’ in length

• Supervised 1 to 6 crew members in round-the-clock fishing operations: shrimp trawling;

shark, tuna, swordfish long-lining; stone crab trapping; gill & trammel net fishing for mullet, sea

trout, redfish, etc.

Left fishing in 1993 to find more stable employment, at home with my wife and four sons, after the shark

market collapsed.

• Directed compound operations as Control Room Supervisor

• Supervised housing unit officers as Housing Unit Supervisor

• Provided protection, care, custody & control of inmates in state correctional institution

Retired to purchase a restaurant to manage with my wife.

• Managed and maintained steakhouse/seafood restaurant

Restaurant is successful under my wife’s management, but I desire to return to sea, as captain or mate

until I have proven myself.
