Overall responsibilities for brand stewardship, marketing/communications, student recruitment and website design and management, including the planning, development and implementation of integrated marketing and communications programs designed to support specific branding and enrollment management initiatives for undergraduate and graduate programs.

* Branding Initiatives - Responsible for the development and implementation of the new University branding campaign -What can ResU do for you

- that significantly expanded awareness levels, generating increased inquiries and applications for all undergraduate and graduate degree programs. This included program-specific media campaigns built around enrollment periods in fall and spring.

* Strategic Marketing Initiatives - From 2010-2013, worked with each College to develop effective marketing and communications strategies to extend and reinforce the new brand positioning, maintain a clear and consistent message, and apply integrated marketing and communications techniques - including social networking, cost-per-lead and ground execution programs - to reach specific target audiences in support of aggressive enrollment goals.

* University Website Re-design (ResU.edu) - Responsible for the overall re-design and re-development of the institution`s website including improved functionality and navigation, the launch of a new CMS (Word Press), as well as continual content upgrades. Results were significantly increased site visits (+37%), page views (+52%) and greater time on site (+35%), as well as a substantial bounce rate decrease (73% down to 38%) over an 18 month period.

* Alumni Relations Initiatives & Reflections Magazine (Alumni Publication) - Rebuilt a completely outdated and dysfunctional alumni association using a 21st century model with a primary focus on younger alums who required social interaction, mentoring and career networking opportunities and activities with older alums. Responsible for all creative and editorial direction for the 2010 redesign of the University`s main alumni publication, Reflections magazine, that won the Gold Award for design at the Higher Education Marketing Awards competition in March 2012.

* Admissions Department Initiatives - After taking over the Admissions Department in October 2011, worked hard to build trust and esprit de corps with a staff inherited from previous director. Succeeded in reaching and exceeding fall 2012 enrollment goals 3 months early, the first time this had happened in the University`s history.

* Outside Service Providers - Directed all outside service providers including marketing agency of record, interactive services agency, media services, freelance designers and other vendors.

Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, June 2008 - May 2010

Ashland University

Responsible for brand management, communications, marketing and web content management for four-year, liberal arts institution in central Ohio. Also responsible for the management of the in-house graphic services and web content management unit charged with design and production of all University advertising, collateral, direct mail and electronic communications. Responsible for media planning and buying for all advertising campaigns with $500K annual budget.

* Re-Branding Initiative - Managed research, concept development and launch phases of the new -I am Ashland- branding campaign which increased institutional awareness throughout the state of Ohio, generating high levels of prospect inquiry for both undergraduate and graduate programs.

* Website Re-Design Initiative - Responsible for the overall re-design of Ashland University`s website. This included audience research, creative direction, architecture development and implementation of the DRUPLE content management system.

Responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing and communications plan designed to strengthen the IIT brand among prospective and current students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the business community at large.

* Branding Initiative - Supervised the creative development and implementation of the first successful brand launch in IIT history. Within 12 months, raised awareness levels in the Chicago DMA by +10% and increased undergraduate and graduate inquiries by +35% in the first six months. Winner of the Publicity Club of Chicago`s Golden Trumpet Award for branding excellence in 2008.

* Integrated Marketing and Communications (IMC) Plan - Collaborated with the University`s Office of Institutional Strategy to develop an annual IMC plan that included specific recommendations for local, regional, national and international efforts for marketing, media and public relations.
