My Research Interests
My primary research is on developing machine intelligence using natural computation techniques.
Hybridization of di erent natural computation techniques is an innovative approach to construct
computationally intelligent systems consisting of connectionist learning paradigms, fuzzy inference
systems, approximate reasoning and derivative free optimization methods such as evolutionary com-
putation, particle swarm optimization, bacterial foraging and so on. I am also interested in network
security, sensor networks, information assurance, e-commerce, semantic Web, Web intelligence, bioin-
formatics, nancial modeling, decision support systems, data mining applications etc. Please see
Table 1 for a summary of research publications.
