Laskowitz Pictures is a lifestyle productions studio producing large collections of images for certain agencies and clients as well as an editing and design group.
Albuquerque Photographers Gallery, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Executive Director. Help manage a small photography gallery, catering to tourists in Old Town, Albuquerque. Duties include, print, matting and framing prints, shipping prints, sales, front desk management and marketing, managing a small group of fine art photographers.
1992 1999:The Image Bank, Dallas TX, New York, NY and Hong Kong, China. Publishing Director, Managing Editor, Creative Director, Asia Regional Coordinator. Duties included the production from start to finish of The Image Banks printed pieces including major trade books and catalogues. Additionally, I edited and art directed selected high value photographers and coordinated the photographers based in Asia as well as being responsible for the recruitment and intake of new regional photographers.

Duties included management of the editing staff as well as overseeing editorial production and design. I was also responsible for the management and care of 120 freelance domestic and international photographers and sub-agencies. Created the Real People collection and Pacific Rim Stock, two affiliated collection of imagery.
1987 1989:Spokesman Review, Spokane WA and Foreign Expert, Shanghai, China. I was the picture editor (SR). Duties included managing a large photography staff, designing and consulting in the design of daily and Sunday news, sports, feature and business pages as well as managing special projects and the start up of a group of zoned editions. As Foreign Expert, I was a resident artist at Shanghais SISU teaching English, Journalism and Photojournalism.
1985 1987:San Diego Union, San Diego, CA. Picture Editor. Duties included selection of pictures for daily news, sports, features and business pages as well as consulting on the selection of pictures and design of special packages and reports.
1983 1985: Orange County Register, Santa Ana, CA. Picture Editor. Duties included selection of pictures for daily news, sports and features reports as well as managing a small photo staff of eight photographers for the zoned editions which grew from four small weekly newspapers to 32 editions under my watch. This component of my position required that I work with reporters, editors and designers to determine the news and graphic content of each newspaper.
1980 1982: Journal-Sentinel, Winston-Salem, NC. Photographer. Duties included shooting pictures on assignment, design of some picture pages and consulting with the editorial staff on certain story ideas.
1978 1980:New River Newspapers, Radford, VA. Director of Photography. Duties included shooting pictures on assignment as well designing feature and news pages, managing a small photo staff and consulting with the editorial and advertising staffs on photo usage as well as reporting and writing certain feature stories.
1975 1978: Suburban Newspapers, San Jose, CA. Photographer. My duties included photographing on assignment as well as researching, reporting and designing enterprise photo stories.
