PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

PLANT MANAGER ( United States Aluminum Corp. Vernon, CA-Aluminum-Doors &

Frames 2009 to 2011

Full responsibility for two manufacturing/distribution sites, CA and AZ.

Managed full operations, material handling, manufacturing in three shop

areas, Door, Frames, and Secondary operations, Paint line,

Shipping/Receiving and all Quality and Engineering operations. Utilized

WMS and RF technology in Distribution operation. Responsible for all

California Distribution.

PLANT MANAGER ( Steelcraft, Ingersoll Rand Company, Chino, CA-Metal Doors &

Frames 2003 to 2008

Full responsibility for all activities in a Regional

Manufacturing/distribution facility with Lean implementation to support

work cell production and distribution responsibilities. Work closely with

supervisors, manufacturing and quality team members to develop robust

OPERATIONS MANAGER ( Lamplight/Tiki Holdings Inc., Corona, CA -Candles &

Torches 2002 to 2003

Managed entire production, distribution, and customer service operations,

with full P&L responsibility. Managed supply chain including purchasing,

shipping, receiving, and logistics. Implemented safety, quality, and

operator training programs to facilitate reduction in lead-time, which

PLANT MANAGER ( Tropitone Furniture Company, Inc. Irvine, CA-Outdoor Patio

Furniture 2000 to 2002

Managed full operations, including P&L responsibility for three

manufacturing/distribution units. Responsibilities included team building,

operator cross training to implement World Class Manufacturing practices.

Managed supply chain including purchasing, shipping, receiving, and

logistics. Implemented safety, quality, and operator training programs,

which facilitated reduction in lead-time to improve customer service

Manager Eng. & MFG ( Tri-Star Electronics, El Segundo, CA-Aerospace

Connectors 1999 to 2000

Managed full operations, with budget responsibility for manufacturing and

manufacturing engineering of aerospace connectors. Managed development and

implementation of engineering technicians to Lean out the operation and

automate hand assembly operations. This required effective scheduling,

training, and logistics for both the US and Mexico sites to ensure product

availability to meet Quality and Customer delivery requirements.

OPERATIONS MANAGER ( Huck International - Branford, CT-Automotive Blind

Fasteners 1997 to 1999

Reorganized manufacturing/distribution operation from a traditional batch

environment to work cells. Converted the operation to continuous flow

processing of manufacturing to gain control of quality, delivery, and

improve customer service shipments on time. Relocated the entire operation

to Texas without any interruption of quality, or delivery. Managed the

closure of the Branford, CT facility at completion of the move.

OPERATIONS MANAGER ( Avdel/Cherry Textron - Santa Ana, CA-Automotive Blind

Fasteners 1974 to 1997

Managed full operation, which included P&L responsibility for two focused

factory units. Responsibility for quality, manufacturing, materials,

distribution, shipping, receiving and maintenance. Lead Implementation

facilitator for Lean Process improvements in all areas of manufacturing

operation. Managed the development of preventative and predictive

maintenance activities on equipment. Initial Operations Manager for plant

start up in Charlotte, North Carolina facility. Managed staffing, facility

and equipment requirements to achieve successful operation start up.
