Jacqueline Schmidt (Portland, Oregon), is a creative,

disciplined, and skilled professional musician who excels in quality viola

performance as well as dynamic and effective teaching. Her years of

training and experience have amply qualified her to teach b eginner-

advanced levels of violin and viola to students of all ages. She is a valuable

contributor to every orchestra and chamber ensemble she performs in. She

has also won acclaim as a lecturer and public speaker. Having recently

completed her post-graduate studies, (earning her doctorate in only three

years), Dr. Schmidt is currently Director of String Ensemble and teaches

viola and violin at Concordia University in Portland in addition to her

private studio.
