- Provide analytical and administrative support for GI clinical activities as directed by the division administrator, chief, and associate chief for clinical programs. - Support implementation activities for approved clinical programs and centers. - Design and develop proposals for GI-based clinical programs, satellite facilities and other GI initiatives. - Provide financial analyses for clinical and programmatic operational budgets and expenditures. - Monitor and report physician clinical activity and investigate causes of potentially erroneous reports. - Develop and disseminate GI marketing, publicity, outreach and related materials in collaboration with GI faculty, staff, marketing and other stakeholders. - Prepare statistical analyses, narrative reports and recommendations on assigned projects. - Participate with division and department in strategic planning efforts and implementation. - Represent GI and Internal Medicine to the medical center and external organizations on divisional programs. - Participate with multiple medical center departments, university schools and departments, and external institutions on major clinical, infrastructure and fund-raising programs

. Job Accomplishments:

- Facilitated the development and implementation of clinical programs at satellite locations. - Analyzed clinic data and recommended opportunities for growth in major GI service lines. - Developed and implemented a Lean process system to track biopsy follow up letters. - Led the implementation of a collaborative joint venture to support colonoscopy for Hope Clinic patients, qualifying under the M-Support charity care plan. - Provided financial analyses and forecasts for clinical and programmatic operational budgets. - Coordinated the development of IBD patient education guide and hepatology referring physician brochures as the division lead for marketing. - Provided analytical and administrative leadership for GI clinical activities, while interfacing with the GI and endoscopy call centers, medical procedures units and outpatient clinics. - Initiated search for a physician scheduling system for GI, reviewed vendors and recommended future options to increase efficiency and reduce administrative burden. - Researched data on downstream impact of referrals from non-UM physicians attending CME courses led by GI faculty.
