SUSTAINABILITY
I have a life-long passion for sustainable design, and solid LEED experience.
Fort Yuma Health Care Center served as LEED Project Manager- designed to Gold
Kayenta Health Center served as LEED Project Team Administrator- designed to Silver
Served as an internal LEED consultant to projects within the office
Yuma: 10 out of 10 points for credit EA1 I believe energy use is the single most
important aspect of sustainability, and this project combined a carefully considered building
envelope with renewable energy from solar hot water and photovoltaics with a water cooled
VAV system to create a design well-suited to the extreme Yuma climate
Yuma and Kayenta: no potable water used for irrigation: water is the second most
important element of sustainable design in the Southwest: buried cisterns captured roof runoff
at Kayenta, and HVAC blow-down water was routed to cisterns at Yuma where five inches of
annual rainfall make roof drainage inadequate.
TECHNOLOGY
Technology must be a tool for better Architecture and not an end in itself. I am fluent in Revit
and Autocad and have a strong understanding of how to use technology to maximize efficient
design, production, and communication. BIM committee member, D/P/S.
Revit 2012 / Autocad 2011 / Sketchup / Photoshop / MS Office / Acrobat / Dreamweaver
