CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (January 8, 2013) Executive Links adds a pivotal instructor to its Pennsylvania resume. As a kid from Altoona, PA, sports were always a part of John Lowey s life (golf wasn t one of them). It wasn t until later in life that John found the golf bug, and his pursuit was on. Upon joining the U.S. Navy out of high school, John found himself living in Southern California. He continued education in machine tool technology, which provided many opportunities, including one with Research and Development with Callaway Golf Company.
Chasing the golf bug led him on another journey, which ended in a specialized associates degree from The Golf Academy of America, in Orlando, Florida. John specialized in general management, with golf complex operations, teaching, and club repair. As fate would have it, opportunities began blossoming within the golf industry. With multiple teaching clinics and individual instruction to his credit, fate created more twists to John s life. Training began with John started his caddying career with Caddy Masters Inc., landing him in places such as Reynolds Plantation, Sea Island Plantation, and the famed Augusta National.
South Florida became the next location for John, where he meet his wife, and began a new chapter. Starwood Resorts came a calling, and John became a Group Sales Manager. Business opportunities blossomed with the golf course, as business ventures occurred on many occasions. As you can see, golf not only provided the perfect venue for building successful business relationships, but also the perfect environment to solidify personal relationships with clients.
