Courses taken include:

Object Oriented Programming & Data Structures I & II - Taught in Java and C++ respectively. Taught containers such as stacks, queues, linked lists, and trees. Projects were a combination of group and individual work and had an emphasis on time tracking, scheduling, and proper commenting techniques.

Data Communication & Computer Networks - Discussed the layers of the Internet Protocol Stack. Also taught the basics of various application layer protocols including HTTP and FTP. Also taught Internet structure and DNS.

Object Oriented Analysis and Design - Focused on the Requirements and Design portions of the development cycle. Also taught the Unified Modeling Language (UML).

Introduction to Software Engineering - A general overview of Software Engineering as a career. Used the waterfall model to develop a semester-long game assignment with a group.

Computer Architecture & Operating Systems - Computer Architecture portion taught the Assembly (Intel 8086) language. Operating Systems portion taught concurrency and thread synchronization in Java. Topics included semaphores, several aspects of deadlock, and mutual exclusion.
