Was hired in 1980 as a trainee,served a three yr. apprentiship as a operator.After five years became a unit chief and was responsible for directing a four man crew as we operated a crude oil unit,a benzene unit and a Mtbe unit.Also had a underground cavern holding 200,000 bbls.of butane and a tank facility.In 1992 i bid to a maintenance position as an outside machinist and general mechanic for seventeen years.After gaining experience as a mechanic,i voluntered to become a tempoary maint. foreman and later held a job as a maint.planner.planning and schedualing work and ordering material for a eighteen man crew.Trained with inhouse fire birgade and was a volunteer responder for five years responding to oil spills,fire fighting,hazmat incidents and rescues.In my spare time i drove trucks for transportation doing fueling,flatbed work,and operating vac trucks.With my muti skills i feel that a maintenence position is my strong point but was a talented operator as well.
