Engineering Project
HVAC Design Project Spring 2012
• Created, designed and analyzed a full scale HVAC system for 80’ x 50’ office setting floor. The project’s focus was
to design a HVAC system from scratch for office floor where multiple rooms and offices were present. Distribution of air,
diffuser, CFM of each room block, pipe diameter, type of A/C system, ducts & grills, vents were selected and calculated
using excel spreadsheet and programmed spreadsheet.
Self Propelled Trailer Spring 2012
• Designed a prototype of a small scale trailer that propels itself with battery power. Prototype was made to test a
trailer that can be used in smaller compact cars without the need of renting a truck or bigger vehicles. Project consists of
Pro-E (3-D design), light sensor, programming Arduino, electronic circuit build and analysis, gears, brakes, testing, SWOT
analysis, HOQ, BOM, Cost analysis, aerodynamics, calculations of motor efficiency
50 Pound Mechanical Winch Spring 2011
• Designed and constructed a winch powered by 12V battery to haul 50lb of water to top of the hill. Using basic
knowledge of statics, dynamics, engineering materials and machine design, group of 5 constructed a winch with gears,
chains, and bearings from scratch. Pro-E 3-D design modeling software was used to construct a schematic of design
