Lead/coach SMK members and Production on major line improvement projects (Simplification, Model Line,

Model Change). Develop and use long term plans for Assembly’s future success and security. (Safety,

Quality, Productivity and Cost 3 Yr plans). Help set direction for Assembly with Processing, Logistic

layouts and Equipment design.

Key Achievements:

• Promoted to SMK’s Assistant Manger. (2/2006). Responsible for SMK and Project PE

groups.

• Selected as a member of the Smooth Motion Kaizen Group (8/2003). Lead and participated

various bottleneck countermeasure and value engineer activities.

• Successfully facilitated Jishuken, Kaizen Blitz and NAMC conferences resulting in improved

for kaizen plans.

Engineering to countermeasure supplier related part issues. Communicated and coordinated with vehicle

design to make changes to vehicle structure to improve safety, quality and ergonomics.

Key Achievements:

• Lead Assembly Engineer for 2002 Major model change for Camry. Conducted and

coordinated countermeasure for over 1200 vehicle design changes for 2002 Camry.

Completed various equipment investigations, created bid specifications for modifications to

equipment to accommodate new Camry. Assisted and set standards for process planning,

prototype evaluation and Equipment design.

• Led Jishuken in Assembly 2 Chassis, implemented new PSA equipment for H-frame

tightening resulting in 1 process reduction.

• Led the training and implementation of full process digital assembly for 2002 Camry.

• Member of a Task force to improve Engineer Training

• Improved Assembly’s system for primary and backup tools, reduced number of tools used

lines-side by 15%.

• Designed and installed numerous Pokayokes to improve vehicle quality.
