As GM of Targeted Publications, identified and created strategies to penetrate new, upscale markets

for magazines targeting luxury and bridal market segments. Complete P&L responsibility. Initiated

design changes in order to maintain uniqueness within the marketplace. Created distribution system

for magazines with outside vendors. Combined, the magazines generated $216,000 in revenue.

Assumed management of online auction project in addition to regular duties. This initiative resulted

in a $500k sales increase. This was achieved through coaching and assisting reps in consultative

selling with clients based on market research and analysis. Responsible for budgeting and sales trend

analysis in addition to setting and implementing sales goals, initiatives, incentives and action plans.

Partnered with Classified Ventures for cars.com, homes.com, apartments.com to develop targeted

print/on-line advertising bundles. Products included SEO, leaderboards, skyscrapers, geo-targeting

and more. Received Knight Ridder “Best Practice” Award for print/on-line advertising bundles.

Responsible for developing advertising launch of award-winning Outlook section, which

outperformed company expectations in generating $122,000. This initiative demonstrated skillful

team leadership in coordinating cross-functional departments such as editorial, advertising and

circulation departments.

Quota Buster:

As Monster.com/Ohio.com Recruitment Special Project, spearheading advertising revenue project

charged with developing newbusiness in an aggressive entrepreneurial fashion. Primary focus is new

account acquisition as well as up-selling existing print-only accounts into Monster.com products in

Summit and Stark County, Ohio. Superior consultative sales approach accounted for two newclients

totaling $150,000 within first 3 weeks in position.

As Local Ad Director, responsible for $5 million budget and 16-member department. Duties include

driving revenue for all retail print categories and Ohio.com on-line products; directing all marketing

and newproduct development efforts; budgeting/forecasting; identifying trends and training needs;

in addition to serving as the liaison between the newspaper and key advertising constituents and the

community. Reorganized local retail department with physical moves, developing newsales teams

and compensation plans. Myteam averaged 124% over prior year in print and on-line line sales

revenue.

As Retail Sales Manager, led team of 8 territory reps to achieve 133% increase over prior year

revenue in print and Ohio.com on-line sales. My team accounted for $3.9 million in annual sales.

As Key Account Manager, achieved 110% of yearly quota. Managed more than 34 Key Accounts

totaling $2 million plus monitoring account growth, trending and ROI analysis. Superior consultative

sales approach accounted for $330,000 revenue increase in two accounts alone. Increased

Educational and Banking revenue by 30%. Established strong relationships with customers and
