400 employees, worldwide. Manufacturer and distributor of infant products including Bright
Starts, Baby Einstein, and Boppy brands.
• Responsible for all Information Technologies functions for company including all business
applications development, web and b2c development and operations, data center operations,
EDI operations, worldwide data and voice networks, security and telephony. These
responsibilities also include management of Far-East IT activities for Hong Kong and
Mainland China, as well as supporting Australia, Japan, Canada, Mexico, UK, and Germany
sales and distributions operations. Annual budget of $2.5 million. Reports to Chief Operating
Officer. Responsible for IT staff of 16 people.
• Systems environment is primarily Microsoft including 70 servers as well as virtual server
environment utilizing VMware. Network backbone is primarily Cisco routers, firewalls, and
switches.
• ERP system is Point.Man utilizing an Oracle database and delivered through Citrix and an
Oracle / BEA Weblogic portal. Applications development environment is .Net 2.0 and 3.5
framework utilizing both Oracle and Microsoft SQL server databases. Corporate e-mail
platform is Exchange 2003 utilizing Outlook 2007 clients. Messaging environment also
includes BES server supporting 40 Blackberry clients. PC clients supported are Microsoft
Vista, XP, and Windows 2000. Also supported Apple MacIntosh development environment.
• Implemented replacement of corporate web-site including B2C functionality utilizing
ASPDOTNET Storefront development tool. Integrated web-site with Point.Man ERP
inventory systems and 3PL logistics.
• Coordinated IT portion of office build outs for Hong Kong office, Alpharetta HQ expansion,
and Bentonville office including data and voice services, data room build outs, facility wiring,
and equipment relocation.
• Performed spec out and vendor selection for new Cisco IP unified communications telephony
project to replace all company phone switches world-wide.
• Performed research and vendor selection process for Logility demand forecasting project to
facilitate the implementation of a Sales and Operations Planning process at Kids II.
• Performed review of Kids II disaster recovery planning and developed new hot-site agreement
to support Kids II business continuity plans.
• Implemented new Polycom HD based video conferencing system linking Mainland China,
Hong Kong, Bentonville, Alpharetta, Mexico, and UK facilities into one HD quality video-
conferencing network. Also implemented 30 desktop Polycom video clients into one
seamless network.
May 2001 –
June 2008 Vice-President Information Technology and Materials Management, Plaid Enterprises,
Norcross, GA. $100 Million in Sales, 500 Employees. Manufacturer of and distributor of Craft
and Home Décor Products. Plaid is owned by Dysen, Kissner and Moran, of New York.
• Responsible for all Information Technologies functions for the company including
manufacturing, inventory planning, distribution, warehouse management, accounting, and
administrative. These responsibilities include the Norcross Corporate facilities, Stone
Mountain distribution, Decatur manufacturing, and Hazelton, PA manufacturing. Annual
budget of $1.9 million. Reports to the Chief Operating Officer. Responsible for an
application development staff of 6 and an operations staff of 3, including 1 supervisor.
• Responsible for all Materials Management functions for the company including Raw
Material and Finished Good acquisition and management, MRP, and production planning.
Responsible for annual purchase expenditure of $40 million. Managed materials staff of 10
people. Also responsible for facilities management of Plaid’s Westech headquarters. Reports
to the Chief Operating Officer.
• Systems environment includes 3 IBM AS/400’s, 10 NT servers, HP 9000 Server, Apple
Macintosh network, 325 user PC network, and Lotus Notes. Responsible for Wide Area
network for 3 local facilities as well as a manufacturing facility in Pennsylvania. Also
responsible for all telecommunications. This responsibility includes the administration of a
Nortel 61C switch as well as the administration of all wireless communication.
• Implemented Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management system at Plaid’s Stone
Mountain facility to optimize Plaid’s distribution and transportation operations. This
implementation produces and annual savings of $300,000 as well as fill rates to our major
retail customers in excess of 99%.
• Implemented Lotus Domino running on an IBM AS/400 to replace Microsoft Outlook
attached to an SL Mail Server. The current Domino mail server has approximately 275 Lotus
Notes Mail users. Implemented IT Factory CRM application running in the Lotus Notes
environment to provide a customer database for Plaid’s inside-sales organization.
Implemented Trend Micro Virus Protection mail scanning as well as Barracuda Firewall spam
filtering. Integrated Lotus Domino with Blackberry Enterprise Server.
• Implemented new Sprint MPLS network to replace AT&T Frame Relay communications
with the Atlanta manufacturing and distribution facilities. Implemented virtual private
network communications for remote sales personnel, telecommuting, and connectivity with
Plaid office in Shenzhen, China.
• Planned and coordinated the consolidation of Plaid’s European distribution systems into
the corporate systems in Atlanta. Planned and implemented the consolidation of
manufacturing and distribution systems of Pennsylvania facility into the corporate systems.
• Responsible for the daily operation, enhancements, and maintenance of an internally
developed ERP system. Application environment is AS/400 RPG, RPG ILE, and DB2.

May 2002 Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning Manager, Eaton / Cutler-Hammer, Pittsburgh,
PA. $2.5 billion business unit of Eaton Corporation. Manufacturer of highly engineered electrical
distribution equipment and components. Manufacturer of stock, configure-to-order, and
engineered-to-order products. Parent company is Eaton Corporation, Cleveland, OH. Eaton is a
$7 billion diversified manufacturer of highly engineered products.
• Responsible for the creation of a formalized Sales and Operations Planning process to bring
together the demand forecasting and production planning functions for 25 manufacturing
plants within Cutler-Hammer. The Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process
brings Executive Leadership, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and distribution
management around a single monthly operating plan which looks forward 18 months. Also
responsible for creating and maintaining demand forecasting relationships with large
customers. Reported to Executive VP of Finance.
• Responsible for managing a staff of 15 demand forecasting analysts, master production
planners, and product registration analysts. This SIOP organization is charged with
facilitating the creation of a base statistical forecast, sales event and market analysis, and
creation of supply plans for over 60,000 SKU’s at 25 manufacturing plants, and 3 distribution
centers.
• Responsible for continued development and enhancement of advanced planning and
scheduling tools provided by i2 technologies. Responsible for creating the necessary
reporting tools to measure and drive improvement in forecast accuracy and production plan
adherence.
• Responsible for driving supply chain excellence through the implementation of a standard
procurement application (MAPICS) at 15 manufacturing locations and 2 engineering centers.
This includes development of a central purchasing database, a unified commodity code
system, and a web-enabled supply portal for collaboration with vendors.
August 1999 –
October 2000 Supply Chain Optimization Projects Manager, Eaton / Cutler-Hammer, Pittsburgh, PA.
• Responsible for $7.5 million supply chain optimization project to develop and implement
advanced forecasting and production planning tools from i2 technologies. Implemented i2’s
Demand Planning application for base statistical and consensus forecasting for 60,000 stock
and non-stock SKU’s. Implemented i2’s Supply Chain Planner module for master production
planning for 25 plants and 3 distribution centers. Implemented COGNOS reporting tools and
Oracle data warehouse for web-enabled on-line reporting functionality. Reported to Supply
Chain Director and Executive VP of Finance.
• Managed a team of 18 Cutler-Hammer, Deloitte Consulting, and i2 Technologies consultants
to deliver the project on-time and on-budget. Also managed integration of i2’s Supply Chain
Planner module with MAPICS MRP applications to create vendor component forecasts.
• Responsible for $2.2 million MAPICS Procurement management implementation at 15
manufacturing locations and 2 engineering centers. Managed a team of 3 business analysts
and the activities of 5 systems analysts associated with this project.
• Responsible for the implementation of a standard Engineering Change Notice / Bill of
Material management system for 25 North American locations and 5 international locations.
This system brought on-line access to over 1 million engineering documents and insured
revision control for engineering and manufacturing documents throughout Cutler-Hammer.
1992 – 1999 Information Technologies Manager, Eaton / Cutler-Hammer, formerly Westinghouse
Electric Corp., Greenwood, SC. International Manufacturer of Electrical Distribution
Equipment. Approx. 600 employees and $130 million sales at this location.
• Responsible for managing the Information Technologies department including a staff of 6
systems analysts, 3 consultants, and 1 computer operator. Systems managed include IBM
AS/400, Hewlett Packard 9000 UNIX Servers, Digital Equipment VAX, HP UNIX CAD-
CAM workstations, Windows NT Servers, and a 275-user PC network. Also managed
communications with corporate wide-area computer networks. Responsible for plant
telecommunications including video teleconferencing. Responsible for acquisition of all
computing hardware and software for the Cutler-Hammer Greenwood facility.
• Managed conversion of Hewlett Packard 3000 computer to the IBM AS/400, conversion
of IBM System/38 to the IBM AS/400, as well as conversion of MAPICS II manufacturing
control system software to MAPICS/DB software. Managed and performed conversion of
MAPICS/DB software to MAPICS XA.
• Implemented Synquest finite capacity planning software to schedule the manufacture of
highly customized and engineered products. This is a client server application which utilizes
an ORACLE database and a UNIX scheduling engine with Windows 95/NT clients.
Developed interfaces between the ORACLE database for this product and AS/400 MAPICS
applications as well as mainframe based order entry applications.
• Developed and managed the Year 2000 compliance program for the Cutler-Hammer
Greenwood facility for all computing platforms and telecommunications equipment.
Developed remediation activities for non-compliant platforms and applications. Developed
and implemented procedures for Year 2000 compliance testing. Served as the representative
for all 22 Cutler-Hammer plants on a Business Unit-wide team to address Year 2000
compliance. Wrote the testing procedures used by all Cutler-Hammer plants for AS/400
application Y2K compliance.

• Responsibilities included the development of enhancements to MAPICS II software,
maintaining IBM System/38 computer, developing new Inventory Management software
applications, developing a Material Requirements Planning software application, planning and
implementing the conversion of System/38 to AS/400 as well as the conversion of HP3000
computer to AS/400. Also responsible for the administration of a Novell 250 user PC
network. Fluent in RPG400, CL, Query, and Client Access.

light duty industrial vehicles. Approx. $125 million in annual sales with 650 employees.
• Responsibilities included the development of enhancements to MAPICS II and
MAPICS/DB software, developing new software applications on both the IBM System/38 and
AS/400 computers. Conversion from System/38 to AS/400. Conversion from MAPICS II to
MAPICS DB. Modification of Software 2000 financial and accounts payable software
applications.
