Responsibilities:
Consultant to Square D, a subsidiary of Schneider Electric as an EDI
Analyst, Business Analyst, and Systems Analyst on a project where Square D
brought on 19 retail business (Hardware, Lumber, and Home Improvement
stores) and 9 freight carriers. My role started out as a person to review
what was being done for these trading partners in Extol. It developed into
the other analytical roles as necessary. I documented the EDI Motor Carrier
Bill of Lading (211) and EDI Order Status (870) documents. Square D had
never traded these EDI documents. This documentation detailed the EDI
documents, the ERP to EDI interface, and the processes needed to support
them. Also analyzed the EDI Invoices documenting the areas where their
current ERP system did not provide data required. I wrote up documentation
on computing some of the missing required information from fields that were
provided. As part of this analytical process, I had to review their current
ERP to EDI interface programs written in COBOL on an IBM System z. I also
worked with IBM's Websphere Data Interchange (WDI) translator to assist the
EDI developers complete their tasks. I worked closely with their
outsourcing partner (Wipro) as the EDI development and mapping was being
done by on shore and off shore personnel of their outsourcing partner.
Independent Consultant September 15, 2002 to

Responsibilities:
Consultant to various clients on software/hardware projects, as well as
programming changes, system changes and conversions. I have listed these
clients by their industry/products. Further information is available upon
request.
Automobile Equipment Manufacture/Distributor - Designed and wrote
conversion programs to import and export data to/from the ERP system
to the Extol EDI Translator. Used Extol EDI translator software to map
data to EDI documents for many automobile manufactures and parts
retailers using both ANSI X12 and EDIFACT Standards. Converted EDI
VANs and integrated new EDI VANs as necessary to fulfill business
needs. Created and implemented several systems to transfer EDI data
using Asynchronous, HTTP, and FTP. Maintained and updated the ERP
system as necessary. Converted invoice and shipment notice programs to
use overlays instead of pre-printed forms. Created and maintained
those overlays. Created a system to read from and write to PC data
files in the integrated file system. Configured various devices to
work with both a PC network and the System i server. Installed OS
Upgrades. Installed OS PTFs or service packages. Installed and
upgraded a System i integrated Windows Server (2000 and 2003).
Assisted in the conversion of their WAN network from Frame Relay to
leased line. Maintained Internet firewall and multiple Cisco routers.
Upgraded Cisco IOS on routers as needed. Administered Domino server.
Trouble shoot various Email problems. Converted Public Email server to
internal Email server behind company mail routers. Worked with DNS
definition records with their ISP for their Domain and Mail. Modified
the DSN records on the domain registration sites as needed to
facilitate business changes. Assisted in the conversion of their
networked PCs into a named domain inside their parent companies WAN.
Federally Qualified Health Clinic - Analyzed transmitting their
Medicare Claims to United Government Services via EDI using the ASC
837 4010 (HIPPA) and the UB-92 NSF V6 formats. Converted their
current Medicare and Medicaid to transmit their claims using the ASC
X12 837 004010x096 and 004010x098 formats. Supported and modified
their current ERP system as they needed.
DPS Project Manager

Responsibilities:
Project Manager/Systems Analyst. Worked with the customer to resolve
business needs through IT solutions. These solutions may have been large
or small projects that were managed or performed through the entire
software development life cycle (SDLC). Including gathering requirements,
design, estimate, propose, write specifications, as well as coordinate
programming, programming, testing, and implementation. Communicating the
project status to the client and resolving any issues. Trained users and
operators on the changes.
Career Path:
Promoted from a Programmer/Analyst to Senior Programmer/Analyst, then
Systems Analyst and finally Project Manager.
Other Duties:
Work with DPS customer support personnel to resolve customer issues.
Assist sales staff with technical support for sales opportunities with my
customers. Coordinate customer hardware issues with the Hardware Support
staff. Designed software enhancements for DPS products. Assisted with
training on the DPS ERP system. Trained users on the custom enhancements.
Projects:
Designed, managed and implemented several custom projects for various
clients. These projects include integration of various EDI packages
(GenTran, Inovus, PC packages, etc.) to various DPS ERP systems, creating
a Membership system (Membership database, Fee Processing, Standards,
Subscriptions, Fundraising, Legislative Grass Roots, E-Commerce
Integration, etc.), integrating shipping interfaces (Pittney Bowes, UPS,
and FedX) to ERP systems, integrating ERP data into and out of various SQL
Server databases, integrating Credit Card Processing using ROI software
into various ERP systems, and customer database expansions (Non-Y2K).
There were also projects to enhance the DPS ERP package. These projects
include the Fisherman Payroll, Inventory Control Group Lead Time,
International Addresses, and Credit Card Interface utilizing the ROI
software.
During the years 1997 through 1999, managed several code remediation (Y2K)
projects. These projects were not on DPS supported software.

Responsibilities:
Contract Systems Analyst/Programmer to Lincoln Life for Cap Gemini America.
Was hired by Lincoln Life in June of 1989 when the contract with Cap
Gemini was completed. Wrote PC proposal systems for use by agents out in
the field. The proposal systems involved with were Estate Analysis,
Survivor Life, and 401K. I utilized Microsoft Basic and Microsoft C++
languages.
