While at CDS~

> On the Steering Team to develop a 'Quality Management System' for ISO

9001:2000 registration to support the daily activities of the

business; responsible for creating procedures and work instructions to

support the QMS and then training staff. Results: By establishing a

Quality Policy, Quality Goals and Objectives along with the

development of a continuous improvement process, was able to increase

productivity by 25%; better control of documentation and processes,

leading to consistency in performance, less scrap and rework; also an

increase in customer satisfaction.

> In order to change the 'culture' regarding organization and flow at

work stations throughout the manufacturing areas, facilitated employee

training and implementation of LEAN Manufacturing Philosophies and

Methodologies, with an emphasis on LEAN-5s concepts. Results:

elimination of all waste; identified to the company what was really

value added to the company and the customer; proper use and

maintenance of LEAN MFG principles created processes that reduced

effort, space, cost and rework; saving the company time and money.

> Developed a generic training program for employees, complete with

color-coded charts, to monitor how employees were progressing with 1)

QMS procedures and work instructions; 2) employee skill sets; and 3)

product knowledge. Results: increased visibility of employees

training, skills sets and product knowledge while increasing awareness

to employees of procedures which had a direct impact on Quality; able

to track cross-training for projects to ensure backup availability.

While at Rave Precision~

> Introduced an Integration Area within the Manufacturing Area to allow

space for new technical projects to be considered by: manipulating

floor space in a logical manner with minimal impact to existing

equipment and resources; set up work stations, tooling, floor stock

and procedures for Integration Area. Results: allowed for additional

projects to be assimilated; increased sales 50% over a period of five

years.
