paperwork involved with the admissions process and the

transfer/release process, as well as entering the appropriate

information in the facility's computerized record system. Provide

newly admitted inmates with their first impression of the

facility's operations philosophy, and makes the inmates recognize

that their treatment in the facility is directly related to their

behavior. Assist the Sergeant in the overall management of the

Intake/Property/Medical department. This includes regular meetings

to ensure implemented procedures are being followed and are

useful.

. Responsible for managing 25-30 mental health patients in an

institutional setting. Supervise workers interacting and

monitoring the behavior of mental patients. Document daily on

patient behavior and communicate effectively with other medical

personnel regarding adverse changes in mental health patient's

behavior. Utilize verbal skills to de-escalate potentially

explosive confrontations between patients and other patients as

well as patients with other staff members. Physically intervene
