Software Engineer, CACI International Inc. - TEWLS Project, Ft. Detrick,
MD
(October 2008 to February 2010)
As a part of the Theater Enterprise Wide Logistics (TEWLS) project at Ft.
Detrick, MD, supported the project to a successful Go Live. I was
responsible for updating the ALE configuration for the Production system
as well as four Training systems and various QA systems. I wrote programs
for the security team to perform mass additions of users to the various
systems and assign roles to existing users. I worked with members of
various teams to complete training missions in the field, working as a
help desk contact to ensure problems were resolved. Provided weekly and
monthly updates of on-going processes. Supported the project as part of
the Transition team to assist with moving the project from one division
(USAMMA - U.S. Army Medical Materiel Agency) to another (JMLFDC - Joint
Medical Logistics Functional Development Center) by ensuring the
procedures are understood and continued as planned. I represented the
TEWLS project interest in planning meetings for future projects in other
divisions.
Business Systems Analyst, CACI International Inc. - NAVSEA Project,

As a part of the NAVSEA Navy Project in Washington DC, supported the
planning and executing of a comprehensive, enterprise data conversion
strategy including the development and preparation of the Business
Intelligence (BI) Plan. The BI Plan included supporting data mapping, data
cleansing, the identification of Master Data, preparation of Technical
Design Specifications, and identifying requirements, set up, and testing
of the central staging area (CSA). Established processes related to Data
Cataloging, Data Analysis and Assessment, Data Mapping, Data Cleansing and
Creation, and Data Extraction. Provided technical expertise and assistance
to the BI Lead, assisting in the formulation of the BI Schedule.
Supported data mapping requirements between legacy, SAP and other ERP PM
tools. Provided input on the selection of extract, transform, load (ETL)
tools for migration effort. Participated in leadership meetings and
provided metrics on current status.
Enterprise Architect, iLuMinA Solutions, Inc. - GFEBS Project, Alexandra,

Reviewed Functional and Technical Designs of developers as a
representative of the US Army in the GFEBS project. Interpreted
functional requirements and supported the development of functional and
technical development specifications for SAP custom objects including
Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements (including workflow) and
Forms (RICEF). Verified Army/DoD (Department of Defense) Requirements
were met. Oversaw component and assembly testing required and
documentation of the results of all testing in accordance with program

As the only ABAP programmer on staff, was the contact between the users
and the consulting firm assisting with the conversion to SAP 4.6c and
assisted with the upgrade to ECC 5.0. Used the SAP business systems
website to find solutions for users' issues and applied patches to the
system if available. Worked with the users in various departments, across
modules and clients to collect data to identify what information was
needed and in what capacity, such as a detailed or summary information
table. Worked with users and other IS personnel to resolve problems and
enhance system usefulness and relied on experience and judgment to plan
and accomplish goals. Coordinated new software system installation and
training with user organizations to insure effective utilization and
provided user documentation, when necessary, for programs and systems

As a part of a small IT department, assisted in answering the Help Desk
telephone and email requests for help in any area from desktop
applications to printer problems to mainframe access. Also assisted in
migrating over 120 computers from the Novell GroupWise email system to the

visual help to the user before the solution is understood.

Created and modified programs per users' requests from diverse
departments, including but not limited to Engineering, Accounting,
Manufacturing and Sales. Performed periodic maintenance of the database
to determine removal of historical data; merged divisional databases, with
varying formats, to facilitate easy user retrieval and tested data
integrity before approving loading the data into the new system. On other
projects, assisted in the conversion of several databases from one system
to another, maintained data integrity and program associations which
included merging or separating data for tracking purposes and audit

While working as part of the Tactical Simulation (TACSIM) project in
Germany, enhanced existing and created new programs for a battlefield
intelligence simulator. Collected and analyzed data in making changes to
software programs controlling real-time operations. Supported various,
diverse departments within the U.S. Army as a programmer. Developed a
program for the purchasing department of PRC with a team of military and
civilian personnel. Published manuals, made corrections and changes using
WordPerfect for the VAX/VMS system. Reviewed software and drafted
documentation changes to ensure accuracy, ease of comprehension,
completeness and consistency. Granted a Top Secret Security Clearance
with this position.
