Al-Kharj. There were 4 AS500 OS for commissioning. Job involved commissioning and display

Description : The project involved commissioning of 4 AC450 NODES and AS500 stations in the
plant. This plant is a gas blending and filling plant with terminal automation. Commissioning
involved also the communication of various signals such as port communication by Radio, tank
level by radar, the electrical parameters by MODBUS, and TCP/IP. Job involved programming
and commissioning modbus, radio(using AC37), RADAR etc.

#6. COMMISSIONING OF GAS RECOVERY AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM
Client : Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), Rourkela, Orissa.
Duration : 3 Months
Technical environment : ABB MasterPiece-MP200 Controller, MasterView850 Opera-
Tor Station, WonderWare-Intouch FactorySuite Operator
Station with GCOM Server.
Description : This Project Involved Commissioning of ABB MasterPiece-MP200 Systems in
RSP Rourkela, for Gas Recovery Plant and for Gas Distribution Plant for Controlling the
recovery of toxic CO (Carbon Monoxide) gas into the Gas Holder System and Distributing them
to the downstream stations such as Power Plant and Oxygen production plant as per
requirement. My responsibilities involved Developing System Software for MP200 using AMPL
(ABB MasterPiece Languange) which is a higher level language consisting of functional and
logic blocks performing individual tasks as per logic. And developing the Graphical Mimics
(Screens) using WonderWare - Intouch factorysuite Development Environment for Gas
distribution System. Development Involved Graphics building and configuration, Alarms creation
& configuration, Creation and Configuration of Realtime and Historical Trends and trouble
shooting. Also the task involved development of mimics using ABB MasterView 850 and Overall
troubleshooting and maintenance of Total System including Wonderware - Intouch, GCOM &
MP200.

#7. COMMISSIONING OF ECS IN THE HPLCL ELECTRIC SUBSTATION AUTOMATION
Client : Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd.- Cogeneration Power Plant
Duration : 6 Months
Technical environment : ABB-ECS: AC-450 Controller, AS 500 Operator Station
Description: The project involved the commissioning of ECS which included AC450 controller,
AS500 operator station. ECS commissioning included commissioning of the AC450 controller in
the main subsation and that in the CCCPP- Control Room. Project involved a no. of
modification in the PC programs, modifications in the PC elements, DB elements using On-Line
Builder, Function Chart Builder, Multi Edit, S100 Edit, Generating Source Code, Conversion of
Source Codes into controller m/c codes etc. Job also involved commissioning of various
communication loops such as P & B Xcell Relays for measuring various electrical parameters,
7SJ, 6MB protection relays, Alcarity meters-in the 6.6kV Voltage level, ABB SPA-COM protection
relays-132kV, 33kV voltage levels. The commissioning also involved the data communication
with Tata Honeywell DCS - GUS.
Project also involved commissioning of Synchrotact, and SKE 11 Relays for Breaker
synchronization. Various Trend generations, Data base and PC program creation starting from
scratch and Loop checking are some of the other jobs was have involved in the commissioning.
#8. ERECTION AND COMMISSIONING OF FIELD INSTRUMENTATION
Client : M/S Jindal Vijayanagar Steels Ltd., Bellary.
Duration : 1 year
Technical Environment : ABB (Advant 450) DCS, EWS, OIS
Description : This project involved erection of different field instruments such as temperature
transmitters, pressure transmitters, various level sensors such as capacitance type, inductive
type, and nucleonic gauges(Dr Berthold), proximity sensors(Endress+Hauser), solenoid valves,
orifices etc. and commissioning of all these field instruments.
Responsibilities : Over looking of the erection and commissioning jobs in compliance with the
P & I Diagrams, hook-up drawings. Supervisions of Terminations of the numerous cables
connecting these devices with the marshalling and with DCS as per the Loop Diagrams,
calibrating and examining the performance of these devices

Description : This project Data Gathering was carried out for Mangalore Refineries
Petrochemicals Ltd. (MRPL).MRPL has 8 process areas in their plant, where each area is
assigned to one Universal Station (US). The US is Tata-Honeywell DCS (Distributed Control
systems).The project consisted of gathering data from each universal station and placing the data
at the back end Oracle Server. The data collected from the printer port of US is in ASCII format
and is stored in the Oracle database Server after conversion. The data is collected from each US
through an 8-port Multiplexing Card via RS 232C cables.
The US is sending data every hour and daily average is also calculated for whole day’s data.
This project also involved Plant information system. Data collected in Data Gathering project is
being used to display on different graphics, trends, reports that are having different tools.
Graphics include a Process Industry’s flow diagram. These drawings are drawn using a graphics
builder, after building the same, editing is also possible. The data in the server is used as process
values displayed along with drawings. Customised reports and calculation blocks are developed
using the same data.

Description : This project involved commissioning of the INFINET Loops of infi-90 from various
kinds of field instruments such as pressure transmitters, temperature transmitter, level
transmitters, and various types of sensors to the DCS termination unit as well as from DCS
termination units to the OIS( Operator Interface Station).
Responsibilities : Debugging of configurations, tuning of logical blocks and supervision of various
installations of allied modules.
