June 1996-July 2002: Carilion Professional Billing

. Became familiar with the Fair Debt and Collection Practices Act,
Federal Poverty Guidelines, and other collection guidelines.
. Assisted insurance follow up with Medicare and Medicaid AR.
. Duties included Psychiatric Medicine and Behavioral Health, Procedure

promoted to the Team Lead of Carilion Patient Payment Services. In my

Referrals and Prelude
My Epic journey began in April of 2007 when Carilion Clinic made the
decision to purchase the
full Epic Suite.
. Participation in workflow design and discovery sessions
. Went Verona Wisconsin for Epic Cadence Certification
. Heavily involved with creating workflows using Visio, testing,
validation, review of training material, department build, Cadence
build (Visit Types (PRC), DEP, SER records, System Definitions,
System Profiles, etc building of our Cadence team structure,
reports, work flow analysis, work flow design, exports/imports of
master files with and without Data Courier, security build,
implementation, follow up and new release.
. Attended and presented at the 2009 Epic UGM: The Wild, Wild West
In 2008, I was elected the Epic Referral Lead. As a result, I
formed a very close working
relationship with Marketing/Strategic Development. As part of the
Epic Referral Development,
I work with various committees to ensure the process is easily
reportable, easily accessible,
well communicated and most importantly, patient friendly.
. Other accomplishments include the successful design of the order
and Referrals to allow users to select a provider of a particular
specialty in a specific Geographic Region (NRG Master file), Design
of Coordinated Scheduling and a successful transfer of data from
non-Carilion affiliates.
December 1993 - Present: Divine Dance Center: Dance Instructor
I instruct Ballet, Tap and Jazz classes for children, and coordinate events
for dance in the community.. Communication skills, enthusiasm, team work
and job knowledge are essential in my part time role with Divine. I teach
the core values of caring, respect, responsibility and honesty to all of my
students.
