PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

November 2001 to March 2011: A Major Property & Casualty Company, Home

Office Major Case Unit, General Adjuster, Denver, CO.

I have responsibility for assigned commercial high value property claims.

These include commercial, inland marine, builder's risk, construction

defect, agri-business and commercial habitation risks. Duties include

thorough coverage analysis, evaluation of local venue specific laws and

regulations, and evaluation of compensable damages. Extensive estimating

work on the Xactimate platform and consolidation of data using Excel.

February 1998 to 2001, Reliance Insurance Company, Home Office National

Claims General Adjuster, Denver, CO.

I assisted in the formation of the General Adjuster unit for Home Office

Claims. My duties included National responsibility for handling high

exposure and complex property claims. These were exclusively commercial and

marine risks, physical and business interruption losses with individual

exposures in excess of $20,000,000. Claim management included complete

management of subrogation activities to include selection and supervision

of subrogation counsel.

Additionally, I had responsibility for consulting and providing continuing

education to the Mid-West region to promote better results for Commercial

Property Claim handling. I assisted in the restructuring of the Mid-west

field claim organization.

I also provided consulting on property damage and liability assessments for

General Liability and construction defect exposures. I served on a Home

Office Y2K Advisory committee, a Home Office management team to create the

Property section for the Company Claim Manual, and I advised Reliance's

Information Technology group on Property Claim needs for a new electronic

claim management system. I provided ongoing consultation to Home Office and

Regional underwriting on products, business results, and assessment of

business relationships with agents and brokers.

August 1993 to February 1998, USF & G Insurance Home Office Property Claims

General Adjuster, Baltimore, MD and Denver, CO.

I had national responsibility for direct handling of USF & G's complex

Commercial Property Claims and high exposure Personal Lines Claims. Those

included single physical losses to Commercial Property Risks and Business

Interruption losses to $10, 000, 000, Inland Marine losses, and Preferred

Risk Homeowner losses. Duties included selection and supervision of

coverage counsel and of subrogation counsel, supervision of Regional

Property Specialists, and National Account loss management. I provided

consultation with Home Office Underwriting for new products and markets. I

collaborated with Reinsurance Treaty representatives as required.

August 1992 to November 1993, USF & G Insurance, Home Office Property

Claims Examiner, Baltimore, MD.

I supervised the states of New York, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, New

Mexico, Colorado, Idaho, California, Oregon, and Washington. I provided

handling recommendations and settlement authority to Branch Offices after

review of submitted files for all 1st party claims in excess of $50,000.00.

I assigned and directed coverage and subrogation counsel as needed. I

supervised declaratory actions and 1st Party suits.

In an administrative capacity, I assisted with a major re-structuring of

and retention of outside litigation and subrogation support services. I

participated with Claims Best Practices Implementation during restructuring

of USF & G. I served on the team that created a new Claim File Review and

Grading system to promote the Best Practices initiative. I assisted the

Home Office Claim School in the development of Property training

curriculum. I directly managed Catastrophe responses in supervised states

as required, including Hurricane Andrew in Florida and Louisiana.

March 1989 to August 1992, USF & G Insurance, Multi Line Claim

Representative, UT, CO, & WY. Adjustment of Personal and Commercial Lines,

General Liability and 1st and 3rd party Property, Inland Marine, Workman's

Compensation, Employers Stop Gap Liability, and Auto Claims. I supervised

and directed litigation, outside adjusters, and consultants. I provided

liaison to and collaboration with independent agents.

December 1984 to March 1989, GAB Business Services, Inc., Supervising

Adjuster, WY. Multi-line adjustment of 1st and 3rd Party Commercial and

Personal Lines claims for various customers. Increased profitability ratio

of supervised location from 150% to 350% during tenure.

Oklahoma City, OK, "Customer First" Award by Regional Vice President for

claims service to Commercial Insured's with claims from the Federal

Building Bombing.

1992-1993 USF & G Insurance-Home Office, Baltimore, MD

I served extensively in Miami, Florida managing the Catastrophe Response

for the company for Hurricane Andrew. Also, I established and managed the

company's response in Louisiana. I was responsible for concluding all

Business Income Interruption claims from Andrew. Toward the end of Andrew,

I was responsible for concluding all problematic files and files in suit

arising from Hurricane Andrew. Also, I resolved a difficult business

interruption claim from the World Trade Center Explosion in 1993.
