Vice President / General Manager
Recruited by the owner (a former colleague at Brand Services who
established the company in 1995), to lead the company's estimating and
project management. Assumed additional responsibility for billing,
receivables, staffing, employee benefits, purchasing, negotiating
subcontracts, and insurance policies, with full P&L responsibility for the
business. Developed optimal relationships with multiple customers who now
use Aegis exclusively for environmental services.
. Grew revenues from $1 million to $4 million per year over a five-year
period. Currently managing about 20 to 35 open projects and 4 to 5
proposals simultaneously.

The largest asbestos abatement company in the world, Brand Services / NSC
Corp., formed in the merger of The Brand Companies, Inc. and NSC
Corporation, provides asbestos abatement and other specialty contracting
services to commercial, industrial, and institutional clients located
throughout the U.S.
General Manager - St. Louis, MO (1994 - 1997)
Manager of Estimating - The Brand Companies, Inc. - Chicago, IL (1987 -
1993)
Began as an estimator of asbestos and insulation projects. Within two
years, became Manager of the Estimating Department which was comprised of
10 engineers. At the time, Brand was the largest provider of asbestos
abatement services in the world with yearly revenues of $300 million.
After a short leave, was re-hired to open a branch for Brand Services / NSC
Corp. in St. Louis and to develop new markets for the company. Hired and
directed a staff and workforce of up to 60 people. Established client base
at industrial facilities to provide hazardous material removal services,
demolition, insulation, and duct cleaning services. Negotiated union
contracts.

. Successfully opened the St. Louis branch, generating $1.5 million in
revenue in the first year, and $4 million in the second year.
. Managed several highly visible projects including Gramercy Park in New
York ($250 million emergency response action to steam line explosion),
AT&T Bell Labs in Chicago ($30 million extremely delicate removal of
asbestos fireproofing above AT&T's operating switch gear), and the
John Hancock Building in Chicago ($8 million project).
. Developed statistical models used by all 20 divisions in job costing
and estimating.
Research-Cottrell - Chicago, IL 1993 - 1994
A division of Air & Water Technologies providing construction and
maintenance of air pollution and thermal control equipment (cooling towers
and precipitators) to a wide array of industrial facilities and power
plants throughout the world.
Senior Project Manager
Hired to build an operation center in Chicago to provide construction and
maintenance services for precipitators and cooling towers in the Midwest.
Responsible for estimating and project management of all cooling tower
construction projects in the Midwestern U.S.
