Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Staff level department manager responsible for Manufacturing Engineering
and Maintenance Departments with staff of up to 125 employees in a 487,000
sq ft Class 8 truck assembly plant.
. Developed 5 year and annual Capital Plans for the Nashville plant.
Coordinated annual capital expenditures of $2 to $7 million. Reduced
year-end carry-over dollars to zero.
o Responsible for development and implementation of $18 million capacity
expansion plan which provided new test facility and paint system
including clean-room.
o Implemented two robotic cab paint lines which yielded 100% robotic cab
paint and provided significantly improved paint quality and material
savings.
o Successfully developed and implemented $11 million efficiency
improvement project which provided 25% increase in plant capacity with
lower labor hours per truck.
o Managed assets with cost basis of $87 million including 95 unlicensed
vehicles.
. Directed maintenance and janitorial on three shifts with annual operating
