Job Profile

Support and maintenance to Elevator products in the SAP Environment, which

is a Configuration Tool, in the Global Elevator Supply Units in Europe,

Americas and East Asia Pacific (EAP).

Specialty area of work is in Variant Configuration in SAP.

As a Variant configuration Engineer we have the following responsibility

> Completion of Product Implementation by coordinating with Product

Lifecycle Management Team.

> Variant configuration for Elevator & Spare parts.

> Creation and maintenance of new configurable material in Material

Master.

> Creation and maintenance of Bill of Material (SUPER BOM) for the

elevator.

> Creation and maintenance of Characteristics and Class for the

configurable material.

> Creation and maintenance of dependencies such as Pre Condition,

Selection Condition, Procedure, Dependency Net and allocation to

Class, Character and BOM.

> Creation and maintenance of Profile for the configurable material.

> Developing the configuration in Development server and moving the same

to Quality server via ALE (Application Link Enabling) in the form of

IDOCs.

> Creation and maintenance of Variant prices for the elevators.

Interaction with Other department

> Support Business people all over the world.

> Interact with PDM and CRM people

PP Knowledge:

Creation of various types of materials (FERT, HALB, ROH)

BOM: Creation of multiple BOM

Work centre: Creation of work centre and defining work centre formula

Routing: Centre routing with standard sequence, parallel sequence

and alternate sequence

SOP: Creating Product group

MRP: Planning with different planning strategies like MRP

consumption based

Planning run (single item, single level and multi item,

multi level)

Production Order: Creation of Production order

Carry out material availability check

Scheduling and Releasing of Production

Order, Confirming Production Order.

Responsible for production planning and whole manufacturing unit.

Delivering the components with 100 % quality in correct time and fullfill

the customer requirement. And having the additional responsibility as MRP

controller in SAP

As a Production Engineer we are having following Responsibilities:

> Responsible for handling whole production unit and generating

monthly and daily production plans for production based on customer

requirement

> Handling Man Power Management

> Responsible for preparing TS documents for auditing process like

monthly process chart, manpower management char.

> Responsible for SAP -PP (production planning) for creating and

maintaining material master data for each component. Creating Bill

of material for all components and create routing for all in-house

production components. By following these we generate MRP (material

requirement planning) every month for creating production orders.
